In her opening remarks at the 82nd plenary of the Congress, Sonia Gandhi told delegates to come straight to issues.

"There is no need to speak too much about me," she said adding "do not waste time on speaking about personalities. Come straight to the point as this will give an opportunity to members to speak."

Gandhi said the the Plenary would deliberate on four resolutions -- political affairs, economic affairs, agriculture, employment and poverty alleviation, and international affairs.

"Each resolution will be moved and seconded by our colleagues after which they will be discussed," she said.
