No nominations have so far been filed for bye-election to the Mehsana LS seat going to polls on Dec 12, according to Election Office.

No nominations have so far been filed for bye-election to the Mehsana Lok Sabha seat going to the polls on December 12, according to Election Office here on Saturday.

While the BJP has announced name of Punjaji Thakor, Congress and other parties have yet to announce their candidate.

GPCC spokesman Hasmukh Patel told PTI on Saturday night that party high command will announce the candidate in a day or two.

The seat fell vacant following death of Congress MP Atmaram Patel early this year.
