Languages like Sanskrit, Bengali, Sindhi, Telugu, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Manipuri and Oriya are offered in senior classes in schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). There are 35 such schools in Ghaziabad.

School authorities say when it comes to selecting language as a subject, students are more inclined to foreign languages simply because they have better job prospects.
