Why has Viveik Oberoi given up on the materialistic pleasures?

It seems the actor has given up on the materialistic pleasures of life.

Viveik recently disclosed his decision of leaving non-vegetarian food, alcohol and women too! But, only for a month.

The star is observing the Sabrimala form of abstinence - one that actors Rishi Kapoor, Jeetendra and Rajnikanth used to observe some years back.

Sabrimala is well-known temple in Kerala and devout believers refain from the worldly pleasures for a month or so.

But, we wonder why Oberoi decided to walk on this path? Is Ash listening?
