Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Association member N.P. Singh, said, the need to develop this area was felt as “Several local industrialists have farmhouses in Haryana but feel unsafe traveling the distance. Others have been duped by private developers."

Executive Rajinder Singh said, "I had paid Rs. 2 lakh advance for a farmhouse along the Yamuna to a property agent a decade ago. But later, Noida Authority declared the land unauthorised as it fell in a flood zone. The agent ran away with the hard-earned money of hundreds. But now I again have hope of owning a legal farmhouse.”
