Non-stop Bollywood movies for South African Indian
A Bollywood fan beats scores of contestants to win a prize to watch movies non-stop for the next one year.
South African Indian Bollywood fan Janeeta Dukey, 21, beat scores of contestants in a national competition to win a prize to watch movies with a partner at the Nu Metro cinema chain non-stop for the next one year.

Dukey received her prize, worth up to 50,000 rands, from Sanjay Seeth, finance director at Nu Metro, in the Johannesburg studios of national Indian radio station Lotus FM during a live broadcast.
Seeth told IANS the competition was part of promoting the Bollywood circuit that the cinema group started two years ago.
"To create awareness that Nu Metro is associated with Bollywood, we wanted a sustained marketing competition process, and that was a linkup with Lotus FM; because with the listenership of the station, it would have given us the best profile."
Entrants to the competition had to answer a series of questions on the Bollywood film industry on a regular basis on the programme, and avid Bollywood fan Dukey emerged the winner.
"My late mother Shena used to collect LPs and I learnt about Bollywood from her. Now I collect DVDs and CDs," Dukey proudly shared with IANS.
She said about 15 years ago, South African Indian youth were ashamed to admit that they listened to Indian music or watched Indian movies, but that had now changed dramatically.
"Now they get into their cars and play Indian music full blast, especially the remixes of old and new Indian songs. I often go to watch Indian movies with many friends of my age group as well."
"At the moment I go to watch movies two or three times a week, and with this prize I can now go more often.'
The first thing she wants to see now is Salman Khan's latest film, "Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya" for the fourth time - only this time she won't have to pay for her ticket.
