Normal life was hit in Puducherry on Monday with the Union Territory recording intermittent rains since Sunday night.
Official sources said Puducherry and its suburbs recorded 16.2 mm rainfall in the 24 hours ending 8.30 a.m on Monday.
Rain was intermittent and flow of traffic was thrown out of gear in most busy thoroughfares in the town.
