Now, a handwritten Bible with bigger fonts

Sunil Joseph of Bhopal has copied the sacred Bible, New Testament, in his handwriting in a span of just four months.

All of us have gone through the phase of copying lessons from textbooks, model answers and the like. But a unique copying exercise has been done by Sunil Joseph of Bhopal who has copied the sacred Bible, N,ew Testament, in his handwriting in a span of just four months.

The mammoth Bible, with its 7854 verses and written over 16,000 pages, is possibly the largest Bible in modern times, or so, says Sunil Joseph, the copying man, who attempted this great feat to create a world record.

"I completed this in 123 days. It incorporates 27 notebooks with 7957 verses each written on a single page. Such an attempt has till yet not been made for the Guinness Book (of World Records)," says Joseph, who works as an employee with the Central Government.

Joseph, who started writing the Bible on the August 16th last year, completed it on the 25th of December, also making it the fastest written Bible in recent times.

The mammoth book is also one of the heaviest, weighing at 61 kilogram. The Bible is currently being displayed at the city church. "We will keep it in the Church for people to see," said parish priest Prabhu Das.

Joseph's Bible is hoped to generate a lot of interest and inspire visitors to read the Bible, says Das. The big letter size would also help people who till date find it difficult to read the Bible in its conventional small fonts.
