Students will now be spared the trouble of hopping from one technical educational institute to another to seek admission. Instead, they can just log on to the All India Council for Technical Education website (www.aicte.ernet.in) to apply for admission in any of the institutes and get the required information.

The site will soon have a portal for admission and information about the 9,000 technical educational institutes in the country.

The facility will make life easier for students who clear the AIEEE examination and have to physically visit the institutes to submit the application for admission.

"It will all end," assured R A Yadav, vice-chairperson of the AICTE. “We have taken up the massive task of interlinking all the 9,000 institutes with the council’s website to make the entire system of technical education transparent and easy to follow,” he explained.
