NR wants more security for Charbagh

THE LUCKNOW division of the Northern Railway has sought additional security for the Charbagh Railway Station. Talking to reporters here on Thursday, DRM (NR) R K Gupta said, ?After the Varanasi blasts security has been stepped up at the Charbagh Railway Station.

Talking to reporters here on Thursday, DRM (NR) R K Gupta said, “After the Varanasi blasts security has been stepped up at the Charbagh Railway Station.

The Lucknow division of the Northern Railways has sought a permanent dog squad for the Lucknow junction so as to deal with any kind of eventuality.”

Gupta said 32 trainee cops of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and 24 Railway Protection Special Force cops had been deployed at the Varanasi station, while 18 RPSF jawans were stationed at Lucknow Charbagh Railway Station.

The DRM said of the seven who died in the Varanasi Cantonment station blast, four have been identified. They are Subhash Das, Ashok Kumar Verma, Lal Chand Bharti, and Hargobind Sharma. HTC, Lucknow
