As many as 3000 NRIs, besides Union and state ministers and top corporate executives are expected to attend the event, Taj Ahmed Khan, Chairman and Managing Director of NRI Club International, said on Saturday.
NRIs, despite their rich contribution, suffer from multitude of problems, which revolve round education of their children, investment of their savings, participation in the economy and resettlement on their return, he said.
There are over 20 million People of Indian Origin (PIOs), including the NRIs settled in about 70 countries, of which over 3.5 million are in Gulf and North Africa, he said.
While NRIs in USA, UK, Australia were professionals, those in Gulf countries were mostly skilled and semi-skilled technicians with comparative low earnings, Khan said.
