Ravinder Dhillon, 44, was on a salary of 110,000 pounds per annum at the troubled Gate Gourmet company, when he stole the money between January and March last year, an Isleworth Crown Court was told on Friday.
Dhillon pleaded guilty to transferring the company cash to a Denmark company to invest in the money market.
He was dismissed by the company in March last last year after an internal audit revealed irregularities.
Dhillon, who is married, also allegedly billed the firm, which was losing 2 million pounds a month during the period, for the service of prostitutes.
Gate Gourmet came into limelight when its staff staged a wildcat strike over the sacking of 600 workers, including many South Asians.
