Omar inaugurates community facility centre

Chief minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday inaugurated the community facility centre at Channapora constructed at a cost of Rs 105 lakh. The Channapora area has high building density and is densely populated.

Chief minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday inaugurated the community facility centre at Channapora constructed at a cost of Rs 105 lakh. The Channapora area has high building density and is densely populated.

The people residing in Lal Nagar, Khan Mohalla, Channapora and other areas could utilise this facility for marriages and other social functions. The facility will be available to them at a reasonable rate of Rs 10,000 per function.

The minister for urban development, Nawang Rigzin Jora, was also present on the occasion.

Earlier, the chief minister inspected the under construction 30-bed urban health centre at Channapora coming up at a cost of over Rs 20.30 crore. He was accompanied by legislator Nasir Aslam Wani and commissioner secretary health Gazanffar Hussain.
