One killed, 24 injured in two separate mishaps

One person was killed and 24 others injured, three of them seriously in two separate road accidents in Saraikela-Kharswan and East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand on Tuesday, police sources said.

A 40-year-old woman was killed and 12 others injured when the tyre of a bus deflated and it overturned near Ulda village on Tata-Ghatsila road.

The bus was on its way to Ranchi from Kolkata. The injured have been rushed to M G M Hospital in Jamshedpur.

In another accident 12 persons were injured, three of them seriously when a truck collided head-on with a bus near Chawlibasa more in Saraikela-Kharswan district, police sources said.

All the injured have been rushed to M G M Hospital in Jamshedpur, sources added.
