One killed, three injured in J&K IED blast

The IED, concealed under a sand heap, went off at around 1030 hrs inside building which was to be used by the police.

A labourer was killed and three others were injured in an IED blast inside an under-construction building at Handwara in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, official sources said.

The IED, concealed under a sand heap, went off at around 1030 hrs inside the building which was to be used by the district police after its completion, the sources said.

The deceased was identified as Showkat Ahmad Dar, they said, adding that the injured had been rushed to a local hospital.

No militant outfit claimed responsibility for the blast.
