The online registration system has already been installed at Jabalpur and Gwalior benches but lacks facility for immediate issuance of acknowledgement receipt. Although all the State HC benches have this system, the facility to know the status of a court case on Internet is yet to be introduced. “That’s under process,” informed HC Registrar Subhash Kakade.

According to the Registrar, the online registration is aimed at ensuring transparency and flawless functioning. It will also be easy to trace the cases. Earlier, there were complaints of cases not being registered in proper order or the documents submitted along with case being misplaced. But this will not happen in future, Kapade added.

After inaugurating the computerised system, the Chief Justice planted Ashoka sapling at Panchvati garden in Indore HC bench premises. The Indore High Court Bar Association has developed the gardens.
