The officer in question Anupam Rajan, who was caught red-handed appearing in an UPSC exam for his brother, is currently working after a stay from the Supreme Court. Sources in Mantralaya said officers in General Administration Department are well aware of the case and the DPC should not give selection grade to an officer who is working on a stay.

Meanwhile, Ramesh Thete was denied the grade. Sources further said names of two officers - Anju Singh Baghel and H S Sekhawat - were not cleared because their ACRs were not with the DPC.

Those given selection grade include Sanjay Dubey, Manohar Agnani, Neeraj Mandloi, Anupam Rajan, Deepti Gaur Mukerjee, Hiralal Trivedi, S C Arya, Jabbar Dhakwala, G P Tiwari, S B Singh, K S Maran, Veena Ghanekar, R K Shrivastava and Arun Bhatt.
