Speaking to the agency, Khan said the PCB has decided to "avoid" playing either a one-dayer or a Test match in Ahmedabad due to a "security risk".

He said the schedule of the upcoming Pakistani tour of India would be announced in a couple of days.

The Pakistani team is scheduled to play three Tests and five One-Day Internationals in India starting on February 24.

Khan said he had visited the foreign office to discuss details of the tour and the security measures taken by the Indian Government.

He said the PCB had informed India that Pakistan would not play in Ahmedabad. The PCB did not want to take any "risk" in the upcoming tour and wanted to conclude the tour peacefully, he said.

The PCB, he said, was not daunted by the "threats" made by radical Hindu organisations against the tour, saying the Indian Government had assured security to the Pakistani players.
