Pak troops violate ceasefire in Poonch district

Pakistani troops opened fire from small arms and automatic weapons on Indian posts in Krishnaghati sub-sector of Poonch district around 1830 hours this evening, Defence Spokesperson SN Acharya said.

Pakistani troops tonight violatedceasefire by firing on Indian posts along the Line of Control in Poonch district.

Indian troops guarding the border retaliated with same calibre weaponry resulting in exchanges which continued till 6:50pm, he said, adding, no loss of life or injury to anyone on this side has been reported.
