The Pakistani Marine Security Agency (PMSA) has arrested 18 Indian fishermen from Arabian sea area in Jakhau, Manish Lodhari, Secretary of National Fish Forum said on Tuesday.

The fishermen with their three boats were arrested from Jakhau in Kutch district bordering Pakistan on Monday, he said.
Lodhari said he had received a message regarding arrest of 18 Indian fishermen from his counterpart in Pakistan.
"Within one week, the PMSA has arrested 36 Indian fishermen and seized six boats. All these 36 Indian fishermen belonged to Porbandar area, he said.
Gujarat Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Dilip Sanghani while talking to PTI said that he will take up the issue of release of all fishermen from the Pakistani custody during his meeting with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar in Delhi on Wednesday.
