The police said Saba in her complaint stated that she and Sami stayed in the same flat but occupied separate rooms, as they were not in ‘good terms’ with each other. Both Saba and Sami stay in Oberoi Gardens building at Oshiwara.
Senior Inspector Kiran Sonone said, “Saba had invited Mariam Alina, a friend of hers to stay along with her in the house which irked Sami.”
The police said that Saba who shuttled between Mumbai and Dubai frequently called Alina at her place whenever Sami went out of town.
At 2 am on Friday, Saba called the police control room and complained about verbal and physical abuse by her husband. “We sent a police vehicle and got the husband and wife to the police station. An NC has been registered and Sami has been given a warning,” said Sonone.
