Speaking on the occasion, she said that to make a child a unique person, there is need to strike good balance between affection and discipline. It is not easy to become model parent. One has to know and understand the needs and desires of the children and also appreciate them when they do something extraordinary. The parents had a lively interaction with Dr Bilwani.
The workshop was conducted in two sessions – one for the parents of the children in age group of two to six years and other for children in age group six to 12 years.
The parents were made to fill up a questionnaire to gather how much they know about their children. Dr Bilwani further informed them that the first five years of a growing child are the most important ones.
During this period the child goes through physical, mental, educational and emotional growth. Principal of the Sanskaar Valley School, Jayant H Lal, spoke about the vision of the institution.
