Pathak to be Bihar Governor's advisor

Retired bureaucrat, Arun Pathak, has been appointed chief advisor to the Bihar Governor.

Pathak, an Indian Administrative Service officer, retired in 1991 after serving as chief secretary during the first tenure of Lalu Prasad as Chief Minister.
Without going into specifics, Subramanian said Buta Singh would review several decisions taken during the decade-and-half rule of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
"The Governor is entitled to order a review," the chief secretary asserted.
This apart, the state's former ministers will not only have to vacate their official residences but also give up their perks like telephones, vehicles and staff.
"Now, ministers will have to vacate their bungalows," Subramanian said.
Meanwhile, entry to the secretariat and the state assembly has been restricted to pass holders only.
"The home department has put up a notice at the main entrance of both premises barring entry without proper identity cards," an official said.
