Patil probe limited to dot procedures

Retired Supreme Court judge, justice Shivaraj V Patil, who is looking into alleged irregularities in the allocation of 2G spectrum since 2001 on Monday, said his probe would be limited to procedures adopted by the department of telecommunications (DoT).

Retired Supreme Court judge, justice Shivaraj V Patil, who is looking into alleged irregularities in the allocation of 2G spectrum since 2001 on Monday, said his probe would be limited to procedures adopted by the department of telecommunications (DoT).

“I am not supposed to make any investigation... I shall go by records maintained by DoT and if required can seek support of any official to examine the procedures and policies framed, and whether these were implemented appropriately,” he said.
