PC asks Munda to transfer SPs

Discontented with the tardy pace of joint operation and casualty inflicted on central forces, home minister P Chidambaram has asked Jharkhand CM Arjun Munda to review the police set-up in five Maoists-affected districts including Lohardaga and Chatra and look for suitable replacements at the top to add fresh intensity in the anti-Naxal drive. Discontented with the tardy pace of joint operation and casualty inflicted on central forces, home minister P Chidambaram has asked Jharkhand CM Arjun Munda to review the police set-up in five Maoists-affected districts including Lohardaga and Chatra and look for suitable replacements at the top to add fresh intensity in the anti-Naxal drive.
In a letter, Chidambaram has categorically asked for immediate change of the SPs of Lohardaga, Garhwa and Chatra. Besides, he has been urg-ed to examine the conduct of SPs of Gumla and Simdega and take appropriate action.
