Three persons have been arrested in connection with the incident while three others, named in FIR, were absconding, police said.
According to the FIR lodged with the police, the minor girl of Champaknagar area in West Tripura was forcibly taken away by local resident and main accused Swapan Debnath on July 15 and confined after office hours in a room at the nearby deserted SDM Office, Ambassa forcing the guard to hand over his keys.
Swapan, along with five of his friends, entered into the room at around 8 pm and allegedly raped her several times and the girl was found lying on the floor of the room in an unconscious state the next morning, the FIR said.
Police said search was on for the three other absconding youths.
Condemning the incident, opposition leader Ratan Lal Nath on Monday sought stringent action against the culprits.
