Udasi Bai got down from the bus and was trying to cross the road when a speeding motorcycle hit her at a high speed. She sustained grievous injuries due to the collision while the two-wheeler driver also lost balance and fell down.

The rider, however, managed to get back to his feet and fled from the spot leaving his motorcycle behind. Meanwhile, police were informed and they reached the spot and rushed Udasi Bai to the Hamidia hospital. She succumbed to her wounds during treatment at the hospital later in the afternoon.

Police have seized the motorcycle after registering a case against the unidentified and absconding rider.
