Pithampur girl top-scores in 10th exam

SHRADDHA PATIL of Saint Francis HSS (Pithampur, Dhar district) stood first with 474 out of 500 marks to top in the Indore division while Komal Tharani of Swami Preetamdas Higher Secondary School with 462 marks stood second in the High School examination, results of which were announced today by the State Board of Secondary Education.

SHRADDHA PATIL of Saint Francis HSS (Pithampur, Dhar district) stood first with 474 out of 500 marks to top in the Indore division while Komal Tharani of Swami Preetamdas Higher Secondary School with 462 marks stood second in the High School examination, results of which were announced today by the State Board of Secondary Education.

A total of 75,962 students appeared for the class 10 exam conducted by the MP Board in Indore division. The break-up of the number of students in the division was: 9,020 Scheduled Caste, 15,960 Scheduled Tribe, 30,950 OBC and 20,032 of general category. The pass percentage for the State was 41.82 and that for the division was 47.24.

In Indore district, Devesh Pandey of Mount Carmel Higher Secondary School came second while there was a tie for the third spot between Varsha Purswani of Rashtriya Vidya Mandir (Vijay Nagar) and Teena Balani of Swami Preetamdas Higher Secondary School. Other position holders in the district include Pallavi Goyal of Saint Mary HSS (Mhow) who came fourth and Bhawna Rijhwani of Kasera Bazaar Vidya Niketan who came fifth.

There was a tie between Rakesh Bhimrao Jagtap of Bauddhik School (Clerk Colony), Shruti Jain of Christian Eminent and Priyanka Dey of St Mary HSS (Mhow) on sixth position. While Anita Chauhan of Jineshwar HSS (Sukhliya) came seventh there was a tie between Seema Choudhary of Government Girls School (Rau), Garima Gupta of Kasera Bazaar Vidya Niketan, Ankit Sharma of Daisy dales HSS (Vijay nagar) and Jaya Puraswani of Swami Preetamdas HSS for eighth position.

Garima Goyal of Shri Cloth Market Vasihnav BM Girls HSS and Monika Panday of Kamla Nehru Girls HSS (Kibe Compound) shared the ninth position. Similarly, Nikita Goyal of Shri Cloth Market Vaishnav BM Girls HSS, Anurag Nema of Kasera Bazaar Vidya Niketan and Varsha Chhabria of Sarafa VN Girls HSS (Gumashta Nagar) shared the tenth position.

Dipesh Lalwani of Catholic Mission HSS stood first in Jhabua district, Shraddha Patil of Saint Francis HSS (Pithampur) stood first in Dhar district, Gaurav Jain of Saint Mary HSS (Barwaha) stood first in the Khargone district, Sakshi Asthana of Saint Joseph Convent HSS stood first in Khandwa district, Anil Kumar Shimle of Rotary High School stood first in Barwani district and Divya Singh Maina of Saket Garima Girls HSS stood first in the Burhanpur district. Girls outperformed boys this year also in holding top positions in the merit list.

Regional Board Officer Anand Jain told this newspaper that the final list of school-wise result was being compiled and the individual performance of schools within a couple of days.
