Stating that there was need for massive administrative, judicial and political reforms in the country, father of Indian telecom revolution Sam Pitroda said on Friday that the processes in the country were antiquated and needed to be simplified to meet the requirements of the 21st century.

Addressing the third Pravasi Bhartiya Divas session in Mumbai, Pitroda, chairman of US-based C-Sam Inc, mooted a ten-point programme to make India a major power in the 21st century including greater participation of diaspora community in the social sector of the country.
Cities should be cleaned up and ten new large cities should be built, which would transform the urban landscape in India, he said and added that about 5,000 NRIs should be appointed on the boards of various corporations, institutions and universities.
Expressing the need for large liberal arts universities, Pitroda said that it would help in creating future leadership.
Stating that focus should be on social sector, he said skills of workers should be upgraded and dignity of labour should be maintained by uprgradation of tools.
