Earlier this month, Brad Grey, co-founder of the stars' production house Plan B Entertainment, raised speculations about the company's future by announcing that he was leaving to become head of Paramount Pictures, reported imdb.com.

But the fledgling company's status as an active production house was confirmed by publicists, who told USA Today that Plan B Entertainment would press ahead with the dozen odd films it had in the pipeline.

One hugely anticipated movie is the film adaptation of Roald Dahl's popular children's classic Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, starring this year's Oscar nominee Johnny Depp.

Several other projects are also high profile ones - such as the crime thriller The Departed directed by Martin Scorsese and starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon.

Pitt and Aniston were also set to co-star in at least two Plan B projects - the romantic fantasy The Time Traveller's Wife and A Mighty Heart about slain journalist Daniel Pearl and his wife Mariane.

However, they are no longer expected to take on the roles.
