Nine people were feared dead after a small plane crashed on Wednesday in Nepal's mountainous west, an official of privately-owned Yeti Airlines told the agency.

The plane was flying between Nepalgunj and Surkhet when it crashed at Jumla at about 11:45 am," an official said on condition of anonymity.
"All nine people on board are feared dead," she said. Jumla is about 500 kms northwest of the capital, Kathmandu.
