Prime Minister Manmohan Singh condoled the death of former Indian cricketer Dilip Narayan Sardesai who died in Mumbai on Monday.

Sardesai, 66, had been suffering from kidney problems for a long time and had been on dialysis, was described by the prime minister as a "great sportsperson".
He was one of India's most dependable middle order batsmen in an era dominated by England, Australia and West Indies. Sardesai made his Test debut in the 1961-62 season.
