PM to visit Arunachal Pradesh on June 10

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will undertake a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh from June 10.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will undertake a two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh from June 10, official sources said on Wednesday.

Singh will inaugurate a 410-metre-long bridge across River Lohit at Brahmakund at Wakkro on June 10. The bridge will connect Anjaw and Lohit districts with the mainland through NH-52.

Immediately afterwards, the Prime Minister will leave for the state capital. He will leave for New Delhi next day.

The Chief Minister Gegong Apang has constituted a committee at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday to supervise the arrangements for the visit of the PM.

Apang also visited the site popularly known as the Orange belt along with Education minister Chowna Mein, Finance minister Kalikho Pul, Chief Secretary Tabom Bam and DGP Amod Kanth on Tuesday.
