Vajpayee, who had last visited the state during the international kite festival, is scheduled to visit Gandhinagar, where Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani is in fray, to address a rally, the sources said.

However, with election fever hots up several politicians, their kin and some cine stars are racing across the state, including remote villages, for campaigning.

Advani, who has filed his candidature from Gandhinagar, has already done his round in Gujarat to coincide with `Bharat Uday Yatra'.

Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and her daughter Priyanka are scheduled to visit Vadodara in the coming days too for campaigning, sources in the Congress party said.

Gandhi had toured tribal-dominated parts of South Gujarat two weeks ago as part of her road shows.

With Advani busy with the `Bharat Uday Yatra', his family, including his wife, son, daughter and daughter-in-law are keeping up to schedule by campaigning in various parts of his constituency.
