According to the police, Ramaram Mincham — who was living in a Salwa Judum camp his family for safety reasons — was killed in a Naxal attack at a weekly market in Chindawar village on Monday.

Mincham and his family had gone to the market where the Naxalites attacked and stabbed him.

Police personnel have been rushed to the village after Mincham’s family members informed the authorities. The Naxalites managed to get away.

In another incident, five tonnes of explosives and ammunition were seized from a truck at a checkpost on the Chattisgarh-Jharkhand border in Jashpur on Tuesday. The police suspect the explosives were meant for Naxals planning to disrupt poll-related activity.
