Congress candidate Yogesh Tiwari contesting the assembly elections from the Raipur City South constituency released the CD and claimed that his rival Brijmohan Agrawal was distributing money to voters. Agrawal is the Revenue and Forests Minister.

Police have registered a case at Purani Basti police station in this context, Amit Kumar, district superintendent of police, told IANS by phone.

Agrawal admitted before mediamen on Thursday that he gave Rs 20 to a mentally challenged person as shown in the CD and will continue to help the person as he has been doing for the last 15 years.

Congress' Tiwari, however, maintains his rival was "bribing" people to vote in his favour. Raipur City South went to polls along with 50 other constituencies on Thursday.
