The incidents included rigging, damaging of the Electronic Voting Machines, snatching of poll related papers and bursting of crackers, he said.

Balakrishnan said he had reported the incidents to the Election Commission and was awaiting its response.

"If re-polling is to be conducted in any of these booths, it will be known tomorrow," he added.

Rigging had been reported from Damodarpur and Kalyanpur booths under Binjharpur assembly segment of Jajpur Lok Sabha seat and Ambapua booth under Kabisuryanagar assembly constituency of Aska parliamentary seat, the CEO said.

A cracker exploded near a booth at Siddheswarpatna under Bari-derabisi assembly seat disrupting the polling. The miscreants also damaged the EVM, he said. In Baramundali booth in Dharmasala assembly seat, polling was suspended after miscreants snatched election related papers from the polling personnel. Both Bari-derabisi and Dharmasala assembly segments formed part of the Jajpur Lok Sabha Constituency.

A group of people damaged the EVM and terrorised voters at Karada-chhatradhari booth under Pattamundai assembly segment of Kendrapara Lok Sabha seat while EVM was snatched by hoodlums at the Garapur booth of Kendrapara constituency during the closing hours of polling.
