Thanks to an IT company, which provided 10 laptops to the school.
“I have heard a lot about computers. It is a ‘magic box’, which can make life easier. Today, I used a laptop. I want to become an engineer,” said Srikul Sheikh, a class 2 student whose father works as a labourer.

For Mazhar Malik, another student, it is the same box that he saw in films. “I know that one can draw or paint on a computer, but I have got a chance to use it,” he said.

Eight-year-old Lipika compared the device to a home-theatre where one could see movies.

SAP, an IT company, has decided to impart computer education to underprivileged students. It has also provided two teachers to the school. They will impart basic computer training to the students for two months.

“We want to contribute something to the society. So, we decided to provide computer skills to students,” said VR Ferose, MD, SAP. “We have decided to impart basic computer skills to one lakh kids by the year-end,” he added.
