Addressing party workers at Gauhina under the Bara Assembly constituency here on Sunday, the former Union HRD minister alleged that the incumbent MP of the area was taking credit for the of development work carried out by other leaders.
He remarked that the said MP was fixing his nameplate on the work done by others. On the occasion, Dr Joshi also congratulated Udai Bhan Karwaria, MLA for taking out several development work in the area and called upon people to come forward in helping him to achieve his tasks.
Criticising the Prime Minister’s recent remark on Muslims, he said the statement should be condemned because it had created bitterness among the people. The BJP leader said the farmers and the poor, who constitute 70 per cent of the total population, should have the first right on the country’s resources.
He also asserted that many development projects like Ban Sagar Yojna, Yamuna bridge, network of roads, education-to-all etc started by him were not for any particular caste but for those living in the Trans-Yamuna area. He said Karwaria had added several feathers in his cap by undertaking development activities in the Trans-Yamuna region. On the occasion, he also released a booklet containing various development work undertaken by Karwaria.
Ramakant Tiwari, a Cabinet minister in the Madhya Pradesh Government, said that Udaibhan had worked in the area as no MLA had done anything in the last 50 years. Dr Yagya Datt Sharma, MLC, Devendra Singh Chauhan, Narendra Deo Pandey, Shivmurat Jaiswal, Raghvendra Mishra, Onkar Nath Tripathi, Nanhe Singh, Rekha Kesharwani, Anamika Chaudhry, Kavita Patel, Savita Tripathi and Shambhoo Nath Khare also spoke on the occasion.
