President's 3 day Orissa tour to begin on Sunday
Soon after his arrival in Bhubaneswar on Sunday night, the President will visit the newly established Bhubaneswar Eye Institute.
President APJ Abdul Kalam will arrive at Bhubaneswar on a three-day tour on Sunday.
On the first two days, Kalam will participate in the annual day celebration of a school and a college in Berhampur. On Tuesday he will spend time with defence scientists in the Integrated Test Range at Wheeler island in the Bay of Bengal.
The nation's most sophisticated missile system 'Agni', in the development of which Kalam had played a crucial role as chief of India's missile development programme, was test fired from the ITR in the Wheeler island.
Besides addressing scientists, Kalam will inspect the vehicle integration building where he would see a presentation on island erosion control measures.
The President would sit down with scientists and top officials to see two more presentations on 'a3 and ad systems'.
Soon after his arrival in Bhubaneswar on Sunday night, the President will spend 90 minutes at the newly established Bhubaneswar Eye Institute, set up by the Hyderabad-based l V Prasad Eye institute, to be inaugurated by him the next day.
