President to present TERI awards

This year, 152 corporates applied for the awards, a TERI statement said.

President APJ Abdul Kalam will present the Tata Energy Research Institute (TERI) corporate awards for the year 2004-05 on June 26. Delhi Cheif Minister Sheila Dikshit will address the function.

TATA International Ltd, Shree Cements Ltd, OIL India Ltd, ITC Ltd, Ballarpur Industries Ltd and ONGC Ltd were among the winners of these awards for the year 2003-04.

TERI instituted its Corporate awards for Environmental Excellence in 2001 and corporate excellence in 2002. A nine member jury, chaired by former Chief Justice of India Justice JS Verma, selects the winners after screening process.
