Principal, 3 others held in mass copying case

THE PRINCIPAL of Gajraj Singh Higher Secondary School, Naini, Chandra Bhan Singh, his brother and two clerks of the institution, were arrested by the Special Task Force (STF), for entering into a deal with students for mass copying in an entrance examination. Students were reportedly engaged in mass copying during the examination for entrance in Government Industrial Training Institute when the STF team raided the college.

Students were reportedly engaged in mass copying during the examination for entrance in Government Industrial Training Institute when the STF team raided the college.

The police also seized a number of admit cards, which had details of money received from the candidates and also the amount which was yet to be realised from them, informed Ashok Tripathi additional SP STF.

A sum of Rs 21,060 was recovered from the possession of the principal’s brother on the spot.

The STF is reported to have acted following instructions from the senior officers in Lucknow that there had been a sudden rise in the tendency to get through competitive examinations through the back door.
