Prisoners get lessons on Gita

Taking cue from Delhi's Tihar Jail, Gurgan police and ISKCON Food Relief Foundation have distributed copies of Bhagwat Gita and delivered spiritual discourses for the inmates of the district jail here.

Taking cue from Delhi's Tihar Jail, Gurgan police and ISKCON Food Relief Foundation have distributed copies of Bhagwat Gita and delivered spiritual discourses for the inmates of the district jail here.

DCP Traffic Gurgaon Bharti Arora, Huda administrator Gurgaon, Praveen Kumar, vice- chairman, ISKCON Food Relief Foundation, and Jail Superintendent Harendra Singh were present on the occasion.

The programme was started with folk songs and dance performances by the prisoners.

But the main programme was centered around Aadi Yogi Das, who is a renowned theatre artist of International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

Yogi, in the form of Lord Krishna, was directly interacting with prisoners on the theme of direct conversation with god. Prisoners have revealed their heart during their conversation with Lord Krishna.

Praveen Kumar and Bharti Arora distributed 1,500 Bhagvat Gita copies among the prisoners, while the ISKCON

Food Relief Foundation offered delicious meals to them.
