Property of IM operative Mohsin Choudhry attached in Pune

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is on a property attachment spree to force surrender of absconding commanders of terror outfit Indian Mujahideen.

After taking permission from the court, the NIA officers along with local police on Thursday attached a flat in Pune which was in the name of Mohsin Chaoudhry who has been absconding since 2008 and is suspected to be in Pakistan.

Earlier the NIA had moved court here for declaring more than a dozen absconding IM operatives, including top leaders like Riyaz Bhatkal and Iqbal Bhatkal as proclaimed offenders and prayed for attachment of their movable and immovable properties.

Besides Choudhry, the NIA recently also attached movable properties in the names of Shahnawaz Alam, Ariz Khan, Mohammad Sajid and Mohammad Khalid, all absconding IM operatives, in Azamgarh of Uttar Pradesh.
