A group of 14 students from Qatar are currently in New Delhi to dedicate a school for the underprivileged children of Jehanabad in Bihar, for which they collected money in the Emirates to carry forward their mission of “Education for All”.

The students of MES Indian School in Doha are leaving for Jehanabad on Saturday to hand over the building for boys and girls to the Kainat Foundation, which is running several schools and educational centres in the backward district of Bihar.

Shakil Ahmed Kakvi, coordinator of the group, said that students donated their pocket money for the construction of the school. They have also adopted more than 200 children of the district and provided them books, uniform and other material to continue their studies.

The students also visited Sri Lanka to see if they could start any educational programme there for the underprivileged students. Kakvi said the school-children love India and are keen to help children living in far-flung areas of the country to pursue studies.
