The stage is set for a quadrangular contest in the ten Lok Sabha seats in Haryana with main contenders for power being ruling INLD fighting anti-incumbency factor, Congress looking for revival and return to power, BJP trying to stay afloat without an ally and Bansi Lal-led Haryana Vikas Party trying to make its presence felt.

Haryana police has made tight security arrangements in four high-profile constituencies of Bhiwani, Sonipat, Rohtak and Kurukshetra.
The contestants in Bhiwani include Ajay Chautala, son of Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, besides Kuldeep Bisnoi and Surender Singh, sons of two former Chief Ministers Bhajan Lal and Bansi Lal.
The main candidates in Sonipat include INLD's Krishna, wife of state director general of police M S Malik who is on leave and member of dissolved Lok Sabha Kishen Singh Sangwan (BJP). Leader of the Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda of Congress and his estranged daughter-in-law Geeta (BSP) are in the fray from Rohtak.
Industrialist Naveen Jindal of Congress and Chautala's second son Abhay are the key candidates for Kurukshetra seat.
Five parties - BJP, INLD, Congress, Haryana Vikas Party and BSP have put up candidates for all the 10 seats where 71 independents are also trying their luck.
