They urged the UPA government to roll back its decision on the reservation issue. Carrying banners and posters, the hostel inmates took a round of the campus and appealed to the masses to extend their support in their fight against reservation.

Meanwhile, the students of IET and LU Second Campus performed ‘Buddhi Suddhi Yagna’ at Shiv temple on the Sitapur Road so that good sense prevail. They urged HRD Minister Arjun Singh to give a second thought to the reservation policy, as it would hit the students hard.

The students said that if the government did not do away with the current reservation policy, they would intensify their stir.
