Mishra also said that the BJP had chances of doing well.

"The Congress has started saying Rahul Gandhi will not be responsible for loss, they have realised that Congress is slipping to fourth position," he said.

"So when it is slipping to fourth position, they are feeling the leader who toured the states for months, went to homes of poor to show he is pro-poor, the leader who said youth of Uttar Pradesh are going out to beg... they are sparing him the blame, its surprising," Mishra told Times Now TV channel.

"Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi, will be totally responsible for Congress' loss," he asserted.

Mishra also slammed Verma's comment on Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) being a better ally calling reflection of the party's fear.

"Congress leaders, time to time, have given contradictory statements. The strange statements being made by Congress leaders shows the fear and frustration of the Congress," he said.
