Rain brings temperature down in Shimla

Rains in Himachal Pradesh today brought down the temperature, with the weatherman forecasting better times across the state.

Rains in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday brought down the temperature, with the weatherman forecasting better times across the state.

Shimla and nearby areas saw moderate rains on Saturday noon.

"There are reports of rainfall across the state too," Manmohan Singh, director of the meteorological office in Shimla, told IANS.

He said the higher reaches of Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti districts experienced mild snow.

"Chitkul town in Kinnaur district saw 30 cm of snowfall whereas Sangla and Kalpa in the district saw rain Friday night," he said.

While Shimla town saw a maximum of 25 degrees Friday, it was 15.5 degrees Celsius at Kalpa in Kinnaur district.
