Raja Bhaiyya, his cousin and SP MP Akshay Ptarap Singh and their two aides Hari Om Srivastava and Nanhe Singh had been charged under the Gangsters Act by the UP State Government following a complaint of attempting to murder by some BSP members.

Talking to Press persons later at the Circuit House, Yadav said now that Raja Bhaiyya was out of jail, the bugle for the assembly election has been sounded. The party had already released its first list of candidates for the assembly election and now preparations were on for the poll. Raja Bhaiiya was not present at the meet.

Welcomed at the jai gates with chants of 'jail ke tale tut gaye, Raja Bhaiyya choot gaye', the Raja of Kunda was given a warm reception as he stepped out accompanied with Akhilesh.

Buried deep in the sea of party supporters, Raja Bhaiyya sat in the car and drove away. He was let off in the afternoon at 1:17.
